Inside L.E.A.D.: the anti-drug program we are proud to support

The nonprofit at the center of our work is L.E.A.D., short for Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence. It is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to preventing drug abuse, violence, and bullying through educational programs and partnerships between schools, communities, and law enforcement. GA Jersey Village helps carry that mission into the community here in Houston.
What L.E.A.D. does
L.E.A.D. works with schools, communities, and local police to bring prevention education to young people. The programs teach students critical life skills, resilience, and the importance of healthy decision-making, with the aim of building safer, healthier communities free from drugs, bullying, and violence.
The scale of the program
L.E.A.D. reports a national footprint that includes more than 3,000 L.E.A.D.-certified instructors, a presence across all 50 states, and more than 3.38 million children reached. Those are L.E.A.D.'s own national program figures, not GA Jersey Village's numbers. We share them because they show the scale of the mission our team is proud to support, and because credit for that reach belongs to L.E.A.D. and the officers and educators who deliver the program.
Where our team fits
Our role is local and specific. We help amplify L.E.A.D.'s message and connect it with communities across Houston through event marketing and face-to-face outreach. When you see our team at a community event, the goal is to bring the prevention message to more families and to support the program however we can on the ground.
